CAN YOU FREEZE CHEESECAKE?

Yes, cheesecake can be frozen, but it is important to follow some key steps to ensure that the cheesecake remains fresh and does not become dry or crumbly.

To freeze cheesecake, it should first be chilled in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight. Once chilled, wrap the cheesecake tightly in plastic wrap, making sure to cover it completely. Then wrap it again with aluminum foil to provide an extra layer of protection.

Place the wrapped cheesecake in an airtight container or freezer-safe plastic bag and label it with the date. The cheesecake can be frozen for up to 2-3 months.

When you’re ready to enjoy the frozen cheesecake, remove it from the freezer and thaw it in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight. Avoid thawing the cheesecake at room temperature or in the microwave as this can cause it to become watery and lose its texture.

Once the cheesecake is fully thawed, remove the wrapping and serve as desired. For a fresh taste, it is recommended to consume the cheesecake within 2-3 days after thawing.

TIPS TO FOR MAKING GOOD AIR FRYER CHOCOLATE CHIP CHEESECAKE

  • Make sure your cream cheese and eggs are at room temperature before starting the recipe. This will help to ensure a smooth and creamy consistency.
  • Use a high-quality chocolate chip that melts easily to ensure that the chocolate is evenly distributed throughout the cheesecake.
  • Use a springform pan that fits comfortably in your air fryer. The pan should not touch the sides of the air fryer to allow air to circulate properly.
  • Be careful not to overmix the batter as it can cause the cheesecake to crack. Mix until just combined.
  • Preheat your air fryer before placing the cheesecake in the basket. This will help to ensure even cooking.
  • Let the cheesecake cool in the air fryer before removing it. This will help to prevent the cheesecake from cracking.
  • You can serve the cheesecake plain or with whipped cream, chocolate sauce or any other toppings of your choice.
  • Store leftover cheesecake in the refrigerator, covered tightly with plastic wrap or in an airtight container. It will keep for up to 3-4 days.

Ingredients

  • Crust
  • 30 Oreos, Crushed

  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, Melted

  • Cheesecake
  • 3 8oz cream cheese packages, softened

  • 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 Tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips

  • Topping
  • Whipped Cream, Can

  • 1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips

Directions

  • In a food processor, add all of your Oreos and blend until the Oreos are very fine.
  • Pour the crushed Oreos into a bowl and add melted butter. Mix really well.
  • Pour the Oreo/Butter mixture into the base of a spring form pan and spread on the bottom evenly. (You’re welcome to prebake your crust. If so, air fry your crust at 300 degrees for 5min.)
  • In a large bowl, add your cheesecake base ingredients: Cream Cheese, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Heavy Cream, and Vanilla Extract. Use a handheld mixer and blend well.
  • Add Eggs, 1 by 1, and mix well. Do not over-mix! Preheat the Air Fryer to 300 Degrees for 5min.
  • Pour the cheesecake mixture into the spring form pan and shake left to right to level it out. Air Fry at 300 Degrees for 35-40min. (**If your Cheesecake is cooking too fast on the top, place a piece of aluminum foil over it and continue cooking**)
  • Make sure to check cheesecake doneness with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the cheesecake is done. Let Cheesecake cool and put it into the fridge for a minimum of 4hrs or overnight.
  • Top Cheesecake with whipped topping and chocolate chips. Enjoy!
